Audio: Ian Skippen’s tribute to Jamie Dunn

They worked together for 16 years and didn’t always get along. But the B105 Morning Crew was always remarkable.

Ian Skippen, the former skipper of B105’s ratings-busting Morning Crew, is at a remote tourist destination, but that hasn’t stopped him praising his old sparring partner, Jamie Dunn, who died on Saturday.

And yes, in a message on Facebook, Skippen did refer to an infamous in-studio punch up between the co-stars.

The audio on Skip’s video, posted from the windswept Remarkable Rocks on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, is pretty bad, so I ran it through an AI filter. It’s still not perfect but here’s some of what he had to say, riffing off his remarkable location:

Skippen also acknowledged cohosts Donna Lynch, Robin Bailey and Penny Cooper, writers Mike and Carol Gibson (“the Gibbos”) and Ian Calder, and other writers, audio and show producers “too numerous to mention but you know who you are”.
