Robin Bailey, Kip Wightman and Corey Oates will soon no longer be heard on KIIS 97.3.
But unless we’re being deliberately misled, their replacements will not be, as rumour has long had it, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson networked from Sydney.
A spokesperson for the Australian Radio Network (ARN) has been quoted as saying:
“After careful consideration, ARN has made the decision to bring the Robin, Kip & Corey Oates breakfast show on KIIS 97.3 to a close, with the final show airing on Friday, December 12.
“We want to thank Robin, Kip, Corey, and the entire team, both on and off air for their hard work, creativity, and commitment to the Brisbane audience. Their contribution has been significant and will be celebrated in the weeks ahead.
“In 2026, KIIS 97.3 will launch a new, live, and local breakfast show that will be bold, entertaining, and fast-moving.”

While the station has had its ups and downs this year, the trio’s final survey saw them score a 10.0pc share in Breakfast — beating the station average of 8.3.
When the Breakfast show is doing better than the station overall, most observers would think that it’s not the problem.
According to Radio Today, the new Breakfast show line-up will be announced at the ARN upfront next week.
Kyle Sandilands has made no secret of the fact that he wants the Kyle and Jackie O Show to be broadcast into Brisbane, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Sandilands and Henderson are yet to hear what, if any, punishment their show will receive for breaching broadcasting regulations.
