Mister Brisbane: Crikey, it's Ian Calder!
No clowning, Clay Cassar-Daley's getting a new co-host on Triple A Murri Country
A new voice is about to join the Drive program on Brisbane community radio station Triple A Murri Country 989fm — but it will sound very familiar to longtime radio listeners and TV viewers.
From 11 April, Ian Calder will join Clay Cassar-Daley on air each weekday afternoon from 3-6pm.
Calder, who has been working in the entertainment industry for 45 years, may be better known to some as Crikey the Clown (above) from the much-loved Agro’s Cartoon Connection on Channel 7.
He was also one of the writers for B105’s popular Morning Crew from 1990 to 2005, and has worked on and off with Jamie Dunn since then — including stints on Zinc 96 on the Sunshine Coast, 4BC and Murri Country Breakfast.
(This is a special update,. I’m on holiday now but Mister Brisbane will return to full service — and better — in May!)
