About two years ago, on a pleasant late afternoon, I was walking down Edward Street with a friend with whom I’d been enjoying an extended lunch.
I must have been in a good mood, because he said to me: “You really love this place, don’t you?”
This place being, of course, the city of Brisbane.
Well, I suppose I wouldn’t have started writing a blog called Mister Brisbane if that weren’t at least partially true.
My relationship with the city is, well, complicated. More on that in future missives. For now, I want to tell you what happened when I Googled the phrase “Brisbane is”.
